Epicor Cloud ERP
Overall Satisfaction with Epicor ERP
It is used as a whole through the entire organization. From start to finish our team uses Epicor, it is our only ERP system that we have in place.
Pros
- Epicor has a great dashboard and reports capabilities.
- Easily accessible from one module to the next, very user-friendly interface.
- Ability to setup MRP and extremely user Data Management Tool to import mass amounts of changes or updates to parts and BOM.
Cons
- Personalizations and customizations getting lost after updates.
- Webex's should be recommended more often for users having issues
- More tools for users to fix own issues
- This is an aspect I am not directly involved in.
We use a variety of dashboards to collate information and make it easily accessible. Most of our analysis is created from user-created dashboards for specific functions. This is actually something we want to master a little better before we start transitioning into the full ERP process and letting the system work for us completely.
The system helps us with our customer database and keeps everything organized for us to maneuver and access it. We, at the moment, do not utilize the scheduling and planning resources the way that it is built to be used but how we are using them does help a great deal with less paperwork and easier to deviate and adjust jobs.
I believe when the system was chosen, the president made that one of the main reasons for choosing Epicor. We previously were on-premise server base and ran into a few issues. I believe being cloud-based was a top priority simply because it offered more of a security for our company.
Everyone at our organization really appreciated "made 2 manage" because of all of the quick access and some of the capabilities in accounting. So far, Epicor is much more advanced but the two can stand side by side. These two programs cannot really be compared just because it's just not fair to compare an on-site server ERP system to a cloud-based one.
