Overall Satisfaction with Epicor Prophet 21
We use Epicor Prophet 21 across the whole organization. We are a distributor for a large number of items and we use Epicor Prophet 21 for every process except payroll (not sure why that is).
- Epicor Prophet 21 can do a lot of things, I'm amazed at how many different things it can do.
- A good knowledge of how distribution works.
- Allows customer code (Business Rules) in certain areas.
- The reporting is lousy.
- New versions always have new bugs (and sometime old bugs revisit).
- Slow to implement user suggested features.
- Great at inventory management.
- With high up-front cost and very high yearly maintenance, ROI is hard to justify compared to other solutions.
