Overall Satisfaction with EveryAction

We use EveryAction as our CRM, our mass email tool, and for advocacy on critical governmental issues related to children. Using EveryAction has allowed us to consolidate those functions under one umbrella, making it easier for systems to work together. Now, we know our donors and supporters better and can keep tabs on the things that they respond to.

  • There are times when I'd like more flexibility around exporting fields. EveryAction has plenty of fields but some are hard to pull information from.
  • There are times, when searching for something, that a null field choice in the list builder would be helpful in fields where it isn't available.
  • I wish there was a number I could call for support. It always starts with an email and sometimes I need help more urgently than that.
  • It saves me a lot of time with the email functionality
  • To embed an email on your own website, you need a small amount of technical knowledge, so that takes a little longer than I'm used to.
Be as detailed as possible with the data transfer team. They don't know your business as well as you do. Ask a lot of questions about how fields work, particularly around the finance fields. Activist codes are used for a lot of reasons--make sure you understand that from the beginning.
I haven't had any downtime with EveryAction since we started using it.
The ease of integration makes reporting on our results a lot easier than when we used Salsa Engage/CRM. I know who emails went to, who opened them, acted on them, what got bounced, all in a matter of seconds with reports that you can customize pretty easily. EveryAction just works.

EveryAction is the best of those I've worked with in terms of integration. It just works. It takes a little configuration to convert your files, but in the end, it is worth it. Nonprofits can go with cheaper solutions, like Salesforce, but unless you have coding knowledge, you won't get the functionality EveryAction gives you. Raiser's Edge may have the functionality but is a lot more expensive. Salsa, which is the platform we came from, cannot compare with EveryAction.
Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
EveryAction is great as a CRM and their email builder is really good now (don't need to code to use it with great functionality and graphical flexibility). In the version we have, we aren't using it to track grants (deadlines, etc.). As an advocacy tool, it has everything we need to contact federal, state, and local officials down to the city level.
