Overall Satisfaction with FileZilla

I use FileZilla on a daily basis in my work as a website developer. I've used it for years and whenever I find myself reinstalling the OS or buying a new computer, FileZilla is one of the first apps I install. It's reliable, easy to use, and simple to set up.

Pros

  • Creating new sites is very easy
  • Intuitive interface
  • Organizing sites

Cons

  • The only thing I would improve is being able to view the site passwords. I understand the reason why, but as a sole user, it would be really useful to see them.
  • I use it for my > 50 client websites
  • Since it's free, it helps keep my costs down.
Filezilla is very easy to use. It has an intuitive setup and workflow, which is really beneficial for time-poor developers. In this business we are constantly learning new techniques and technologies, which is usually a major time-sink. The last thing we need is an yet another app that needs to be learnt and configured over and over again. With FileZilla, everything, in my experience, just works.

Honestly, it's my go-to FTP app.

I like the ability to create secure ftp transfers as security is my number one concern when dealing with my clients' sensitive data.
