Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Fireflies.ai to automate notes for virtual meetings, from internal team check-ins, and meetings with clients and build transcripts for data collection. We use it weekly and the meetings range from a few minutes to a few hours. It saves time, and there is the option to automate the sharing of meeting notes with a summary and action points with other attendees for timely follow-up.

Usability

I love that it is fairly accurate despite diverse accents, especially relative to other note-takers. I also love that I can sync it to my calendar so it automatically joins meetings and that I can specify which meetings it joins (e.g. all meetings or meetings that I own). I also appreciate that there is an app and Chrome extension.

Alternatives Considered

Gemini, Read AI and Otter.ai

Fireflies.ai is my favorite, although all of them are good products. I find that Fireflies.ai's summary is a little more accurate in my experience.

It is best-suited for virtual meetings where each attendee is signed into the meeting independently (i.e. not multiple people in a room with a shared device).

However it is less appropriate for transcription of audio recordings of in-person meetings. The accuracy goes down in this instance.
