Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use this as inter office communication as well as for communicating between multiple locations. It allows us to send messages and pictures directly to others instantly without waiting for responses. It also allows for one on one check ins with supervisors, and a great way to alert our team of announcements as well. We have also used it for personal notes and even ways to send files and items from our desktop to our phones and vice versa.

Free version covers enough for our business model which makes it a great ROI.

Usability

It is extremely simple to teach and very intuitive. Most people can login and master many of the features on their own. Regardless of your experience or feeling toward technology, Flock is a great program to get your team more connected across multiple levels and layers. I cannot recommend it enough.

Alternatives Considered

Slack and Zoho Cliq

Many of the features are shared between these three programs but for us, we found the mobile application to be much easier to manage and being that we were using this a lot on the go that was a major selling point for our team and operation.

Likelihood to Recommend

This is a great option for teams where not all members are present (work from home, multi locations, road warriors, etc.) as well as creating better communication channels across your business. It is great for communicating parts to grab to people in a warehouse where you can tell them the parts but also share a picture of what they are looking for. It works great for announcing when a meeting is about to start or when the office lunch arrives. It is great for morale with sending memes and encouragement to each other. It is not a great way to talk to clients or prospective customers. This is strictly designed more for teams and businesses to use for chatting purposes.
