Overall Satisfaction with Formstack

Formstack is being used only by our department. It is the program we use for our surveys, conference attendee registration, internal and external reservation requests, as well as our marketing items.

Pros

  • Creating a customized form for just about any business purpose
  • Tracking and storing information on clients and requests

Cons

  • Only from personal experience can I make this statement. In our department we use Banner (university wide) Formstack and KX and none of them "talk" to each other. If it were easier to link them together, or cheaper as cost is always a factor, it would make our job significantly easier.
  • ID Works only; to create the ID cards
We use a custom form to have attendees log in to their event via a link we email the organizer. They are able to provide all their info with a picture making it easier to track the number and the photos for the event and create the ids for each.

I wanted to point out that on the Formstack side, this may be possible via API, WebHook, or possibly Zapier (https://www.formstack.com/features/webhooks-api), as these will allow you to send collected Form data to a third party program such as Banner and/or KX. WebHooks are a custom setup so you will need to create and maintain these but our API is open and do allow for this type of data passing.
