Overall Satisfaction with Google BigQuery
Google BigQuery helps us solve business questions, specially ad-hoc ones, it allows us to search specific information through enormous amounts of data, all that while reducing the resources used to perform the queries, Google BigQuery feels so much more powerful than many other data manipulation tools as it has more functional and even allows to use custom ones
Pros
- Querying big datasets while economizing resources
- Integrating with other tools
- Using in app AI to assist with the writing of the queries
Cons
- It would be great if Google BigQuery had a smarter more comprehensive way to look for data points
- I don't have specific numbers but I know the company is saving by not having to invest into in house servers to store it's data
I have used other data manipulation tools like SQL Server and Google BigQuery feels more intuitive, Google provides so much documentation and tutorials that getting to know the software is not only easy but even satisfactory, so I'd say Google BigQuery is very superior to that and some other of its competition
