An LMS for basic and fast learning needs
Overall Satisfaction with Google Classroom
We used to use Google Classroom as one of our LMS platforms, specifically for some onboarding and induction programs. We used to host some critical roles' learning paths as the New Managers program (leadership essentials), and some other Area Specific learning paths that were requested ad-hoc by their leaders, and published in this platform.
Pros
- Learning paths
- Learners access
- Price (included in Google Suite)
Cons
- Not clear tracking of learners' completion
- Limitations on linking external content
- User interface not that intuitive
- It is a fast-implementing and cost-effective solution for simple learning problems
- The user interface is not very developed and is very basic
- This tool was very useful as an MVP for some of our programs
Google Classroom is good for testing learning program structure in a low-cost solution. It is also good for short and simple learning paths, that need to be integrated with Google Forms or other tools from Google Suite. It stacks up against other platforms when learners already have a Google Account.
