Overall Satisfaction with Google Drive

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I work at John Jay College and currently at my organization Google Drive is not being used. However, I use google drive for academia purposes and it has been a great way for me to keep track of my work and I am ensured that it will not get lost.

Pros and Cons

Pros

For the Microsoft Word Google Drive. I love how it saves my document every second. It leaves me at peace knowing that if ever my computer suddenly turns off I know that my document has been saved to the recent edit.
Excel is a great feature in Google Drive. I can do all my spreadsheets for school and work if needed.
I have done presentations on google drive and also created groups of two people or more and we were all able to work on one document and share our ideas and edits.

Cons

Honestly, I have no suggestions of improvement on my end with google drive. It has always gave me great use and service. I never had a complaint when using it.

Return on Investment

Better customer service.

Alternatives Considered

Dropbox

I have used Dropbox for file storage and it is good, however I prefer Google Drive because it has other features, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint. It's everything in one. To me, Dropbox seems limited and is only for that one purpose, plus I like the fact that I can use google drive on my phone.

Likelihood to Recommend

Google Drive was well suited during my grad school work where I needed to work in groups and it was extremely important for us to stay connected. We used Google Drive to view the same documents. Currently, I am working on my thesis for grad school and I am using Google Drive right now.
