Overall Satisfaction with Google Hangouts
It's currently used for small team meetings. For all-team meets that have up to 35 people, we found Google Hangouts does not work so we use another tool for that. We previously used it to produce a webinar series and host meetings with students but it no longer meets those needs because it was too buggy to use as an external tool.
- Google Hangouts makes it easy to get a meeting started.
- The user interface is really intuitive, clean, and simple so it's easy to use.
- Google Hangouts can be buggy. We've had problems where external users could not enter and we couldn't troubleshoot it.
- Google products have very little support. The support that does exist is rarely unhelpful so they're never considered a resource.
- Google Hangouts is a great tool for meetings - especially if you use a ton of other Google products.
- Zoom
Zoom is a lot better for presenting so I use it when I need those extra features. It is paid and the pricing can get a little pricey so that's why I stick with Google Hangouts for most meetings.
