Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Since GoTo Meeting is a web conferencing and online meeting software, we use it to conduct virtual meetings with clients, partners and colleagues. We have a team of 100+ employees spread across the globe, so GoTo Meeting allows us to connect with each other easily and efficiently, regardless of our location or device. It was especially helpful during the COVID-19 pandemic when many of our employees worked remotely.

Pros and Cons

We use GoTo Meeting to conduct customer interviews for a new product launch.
Also for training sessions for our sales and marketing teams on a new software or application platform.
It helps us meet our compliance requirements like HIPAA, GDPR etc.

The chat feature needs improvement.
The UI of GoTo Meeting looks outdated. It will be nice to see a modern and user-friendly UI.
The mobile app features are not up to the mark compared to the desktop app features.

It has become easy for us to collaborate with colleagues and clients. We can share our screens, whiteboard and other documents, and we can even record our meetings for later reference.

As far as security and privacy is concerned, hands down GoToMeeting is a far better choice than Zoom. GoToMeeting has a reputation for top-notch security and privacy as the platform uses AES-128-bit encryption to protect audio and video data and it has a lot of other security features, like risk-based authentication and meeting PINs.

GoTo Meeting has a number of features that make it ideal for certain types of meetings. For example, the screen sharing feature allows us to show our computer screen to other participants in the meeting, hence very helpful for presentations or training sessions. The whiteboard allows us to collaborate on a shared document, quite useful for brainstorming and problem-solving.
