Overall Satisfaction with Gusto

I am self-employed, and one of the companies I contract with uses Gusto to pay me. Gusto is intuitive, user-friendly, and easy to use, and the organization paying me can easily edit the base pay and send payments outside of my regular billed hours. I also really like how easy the information is to get during tax season - paying quarterly taxes is difficult enough, and I appreciate making the process easier.

Pros

  • Simple and intuitive - I don't get lost trying to find what I want. There may not be a ton of tabs and options, but all the information I need to access is there.
  • Modern, clean design.
  • Minimum info on display reduces overwhelm, and more information can be found by clicking the expand button.
  • Real time tracking of my upcoming paychecks is very useful.

Cons

  • One suggestion would be requesting a change (for example, if my pay rate needs changing) where I can ask for the shift directly through Gusto, and then my organization is made aware of the request and can either deny or approve.
  • I don't use Gusto for this - my business objectives are not impacted; I just get paid here.
The usability is probably my favorite thing about the Gusto site. Clean, intuitive, and very easy to use. I don't have to search down rabbit holes for the relevant information: it's on the list on the left, and the information can be easily expanded if needed. I like the modern design, and the little doodles add to this.

I've honestly never had a problem using Gusto! I can log in and see real-time updates to my pay, everything is effortless to use, and there are a lot of additional features to explore if I want to, such as the renters/pet insurance offers. It is fantastic to see a list of my paystubs and tax information without searching for it.
