Overall Satisfaction with HelloSign

I use it when we have to send out documents and forms to complete and sign to employees, independent contractors, and other stakeholders. It's a convenient way of setting up fields that are easy for the recipient to complete. I work in HR so majority of the uses are for simple signature requests and form completions. It doesn't necessarily solve any business problem outside of allowing people to complete esigns that are typically accepted and legally enforceable.
  • Easy to set up and send templates - I find it really easy to set up templates. Sometimes when I am lucky with uploading a doc, HelloSign auto detects fields and inputs text boxes for me. It's easy to set up the settings for each field.
  • Straightforward - It was my first time using an Esign software during work and the training to learn how to use this platform was minimal at best since Hellosign is not complicated to use.
  • Tracking to see if someone has opened a document request. I like this feature because sometimes you are unsure if the recipient received the mail but did not read the document yet or not. They also keep time stamps with IP addresses of when someone first reads the document and then signs it.
  • Hellosign should implement this feature that DocuSign has where we can edit forms that have already been sent for signing. Currently, we have to delete the previous request and submit a new one. There is no way to delete and resend an existing request.
  • Hellosign should implement a field in the signature box that indicates that it was signed using HelloSign. Currently, you see the signature but you don't know where the person has signed the form. In cases where I needed to send the form (without sending the signature trail details), it would have been more helpful. I find a lot of our legal counsels prefer for us to use DocuSign as a result.
  • Dynamic templates - this is hard to implement but it would be nice to be able to upload dynamic templates that change depending on the content. I find hellosign is good only if the form is static (and designed to look like a typical form). Minimal use at best.
  • Simple layout - easy to learn and navigate. Its a straightforward and minimal platform where you don't get lost in.
  • Easy to set up fields in the document, change the settings of each field, etc. You can select a large number of fields and make changes to it all at once.
  • Pre-saved signatures. It's easy to set up a signature to use forever rather than having to manually sign each document each time.
  • It's cheaper than other esign platforms. This has a positive impact on ROI since we can send out a decent number of easy forms and documents out for signing. The amount of documents we send is unlimited. I think it's overall affordable. I believe a large number of our teams use hellosign as a result since its the most cost effective option.

Hellosign is well suited for when your forms are simple and static. For example, an employee registration form, forms that only require a signature and date, for small changes with risk of edits. Our company doesn't use Hellosign when it comes to the more complicated letter templates or whenever we have to issue a large volume of employee change letters since DocuSign is more suited for that, which makes sense due to the cost of both platforms.
