Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use HireVue for several departments. I use it for our networking teams.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Keeps the questions consistent.
Helps me assess the technical capability of a candidate.
The candidate can take the assessment at their leisure.

Cons

The UI is a little confusing at times.
When you log into HireVue to review a candidate, you are unable to assign an evaluator at that time.
Candidates sometimes tell me that they don't have access to a webcam or don't want to be videotaped.

Return on Investment

We spend less money on flying candidates in for interviewing.
Hiring managers can quickly assess technical skills.
Our ATS does not work well with HireVue.

Likelihood to Recommend

HireVue is less appropriate for high level management roles. It is good for high volume and technical roles.

Thanks for taking the time to review us! We're glad that you are on board! I'm sorry that the UI is a bit confusing. Could you give me an example of what aspects are confusing so I can send that feedback to our UI/UX team? We want HireVue to look and feel smooth and easy to use. I am unclear about when you say you cannot assign an evaluator. Are you referring to when you log in, then click on "review video" next to a candidate, and you'd like to add an evaluator at that time? I can send that through as a feature request if that is what you are referring to. In the meantime, to add an evaluator to a position or candidate, you will need to click on the "evaluators" tab, and add that person's name and email as the evaluator. We understand that not everyone wants to do a digital interview and is not comfortable with the process. We have unlimited practice questions available before the interview starts for candidates to take in order for them to feel more comfortable and confident with the process.
