Overall Satisfaction with HireVue

We use HireVue for staffing purposes. Sometimes we don't have time or the candidate does not have time to sit and personally interview everyone, especially if they are out of town, so it is a great tool to use. It is great because we are able to send certain interviews among our team to get feedback. There is nothing I can think of that we would consider a problem. HireVue is always ready and available to answer and questions or problems that we have. GREAT TOOL and we couldn't be happier with it.

Pros

  • User friendly.
  • Always available to address our problems or concerns.
  • Simple and easy.

Cons

  • Not being able to easily delete an interview that was made by accident.
  • Can't change a question after a candidate has taken an interview - I understand why, but it would be nice to be able to change in case I made a spelling mistake.
  • Could use "folders" so we don't have to search for an old interview by scrolling down.
  • Some people think it is a scam even after you assure them it is not.
  • People are nervous seeing themselves on camera.
  • Some people love the interview process. They can really show what they can bring to the table by telling the hiring manager and not by putting words on a resume.
Never seen another product. Won't need to either.
HireVue is very well suited for when a candidate is out of town or currently working. No need for them to travel or take off work to interview.

    Thanks for taking the time to review us! We really appreciate it and we're glad you're on board with us. I'm glad we could help you save time with your recruiting process! If you make spelling mistakes on a question, you should be able to change it. However, if it is a large spelling mistake or you take out or add an entire word, the system will not recognize it. I will send this and the folder idea as a feature request. The folder idea would make things a lot easier! Feature requests are reviewed daily and usually implemented if deemed fit. To delete an interview, you would actually archive it. Once you accidentally create a position, you will go into the position itself, and click on "archive" on the top right. Do you have a suggestion of an easier way to do this? I will have our developers look into it as well. We take feedback very seriously. We realize not everyone is keen on taking a digital interview. We offer unlimited practice questions before each interview begins that we recommend to all candidates. These usually prepare the candidates and make them feel more confident and comfortable.
