Overall Satisfaction with IBM Maximo Application Suite

We get our work orders and job cards assigned to us from our Utility customer. We then use it on work order completion to update CUs and updated prints and job cards. Finally, we finalize billing through it at the end. IBM Maximo Application Suite is our full use platform for work order life span.

Pros

  • Tracks work order status and information..
  • Allows for work order and job card updates.
  • Moves work order life span from creation to finalization .

Cons

  • The new update is painfully slow.
  • The update completely removed previous dashboard, saved features, and other work streams that took time to build.
  • Updating quantities or totals used to take seconds and now takes hours depending on amount needed to be updated.
  • Time has increased to do nominal tasks with new version
  • Billing closeout takes longer and staff is tied up on one work order vs being able to be nimble across multiple.
CU Tracking, billing connection and work order closing.
When it works it minimized paper and manual processes, however without the advent of APIs and future integration the current program is holding us up more than moving us forward,.

The version pre-update was great. The updated version slows down production and is inefficient.
