Power Systems Virtual Server on IBM Cloud for IBMi
Overall Satisfaction with IBM Power System Virtual Server
Power System Virtual Server hosted by IBM is currently running all our SAP systems. There are a few HANA servers and a lot of Linux servers in our system that are being used daily by end-users. The production relies on these servers to keep everything running smoothly. These servers must be available 24/7, all year round, including on holidays.
Pros
- Infrastructure with flexibility
- Environment in a hybrid cloud
- Excellent assistance in resolving the issue
- Maintenance has a lot of freedom
Cons
- Access from a variety of devices
- When we require the assistance of more specialized personnel, some situations may be more difficult to settle.

- We didn't need to upgrade our hardware in our data center on-premise.
We were previously hosted at SAP HEC before migrating to IBM. After a few years, we discovered that our server was actually hosted in an IBM data center. We decided to move to IBM in order to lower the cost of third parties that are only acting as intermediaries and slow down the resolution on high-priority cases.
