Overall Satisfaction with iCIMS Talent Acquisition Software Suite
I have been forced to use iCIMS at two different companies, once while leading a team of corporate recruiters (one employer), once with a staffing firm (multiple employer clients.) It doesn't address our business problems, it just causes problems.
- Nothing.
- It's unnavigable, not at all intuitive.
- It doesn't allow us to capture passive candidates easily.
- Can't figure out how to do things, no easy way to look up the answer (no time for blogs or articles when I just have a simple question).
- It's built for ACTIVE candidates (people who APPLY); as a search firm most of our candidates are PASSIVE candidates: no email/contact info, which iCIMS requires.
- In my past company (international) I had to spend at least 2 weeks out of every month recreating by hand my recruiting reports to management because our people in the field couldn't/wouldn't use iCIMS. Wasted 50% of my time as head of Talent Acquisition.
- In my current company, very few of our recruiters even bother using it. A huge waste of money.
MANY - if you're a staffing firm, focus on software specifically designed for this industry (rather than a product like iCIMS which is a CORPORATE ATS.) If you recruit hard-to-find people, find a product that lets you capture passive candidates with no contact info.
