Overall Satisfaction with iContact

We use iContact to manage all our email communications with our 75k+ subscribers. We utilize the automated workflows for drip campaigns, welcome messages, and our monthly newsletters.
  • Email template design.
  • Workflow automation.
  • Scheduled delivery.
  • Interface can use an upgrade.
  • Email designer can use a fresher design too.
  • Would have liked to see functions we could put on our website (popups) instead of using 3rd party.
  • I found it priced in the mid-range so we began exploring alternatives.
  • Engaging our community is valuable.
  • Price was a bit since it was tied to #contacts AND #emails sent.
Sendinblue, Mailchimp, Sumo.
We're moving to Sendinblue because it was better priced with better features. Sumo is more bit more geared towards building email lists -- although it fails miserably because it cannot accurately report #contact or visits to your site. Mailchimp was used early on for some really small lists as it is pretty expensive.
It's a workhorse for basic email management. If you are getting started in building your platform out it's pretty easy to work with. As you explore other products you may find that you wish it had more functionality. Statistics are a bit limited whereas other newer products may give you more insight into the behavior of your audience. Regardless, I was pretty satisfied with the platform.
