Overall Satisfaction with Ideagen Quality Management

I have been using Ideagen Quality Management (formerly Q-Pulse) for the past two + years in the NHS (the organisation has had the software for a longer period of time). This software package has made work more efficient and controlled for our needs. Staff are able to locate all local policies, standard operational procedures, risk assessments, health and safety records and much more. This software enables us to comply to the strict UKAS guidelines and ISO standards. We as an organisation are very much looking forward to moving onto the Ideagen Quality Management software as well as the web based version.
  • The software rarely crashes.
  • Very easy to use and navigate.
  • Software package designed for all ages (16+)
  • The customisability of the software to suit individual needs.
  • All the modules and their uses is the reason why this software package is so great.
  • The initial Ideagen Quality Management (Q-Pulse) training can be improved by adding more video tutorials instead of interactive ones in my opinion.
  • I am currently not aware of a person who can be contacted for Ideagen Quality Management (Q-Pulse) related problem from Ideagen Quality Management (this information might be with other higher grades of staff).
  • Sometimes the software can be slow in running reports (depends on the amount of data I need)
  • A small session log out time for all the users in my department.
  • I would like to see specific accounts have different allowances/powers such as increased session log out times
  • I would like to see multiple owners assigned to actions, assets etc.
  • Saves money on Admin costs
A lot of users find it difficult in using software such as MTeams and MS SharePoint when compared to using Ideagen Quality Management (Q-Pulse).
Ideagen Quality Management (Q-Pulse) allows you to keep a better audit trail in my opinion. It allows me to know who has read and acknowledged the document, who has approved the document and who has even distributed it.

One example of where the quality management system, document module excels for us is the loading, distributing, and acknowledging documentation. We are easily able to load SOPs, guides, and policies for staff to read and then sign to state that they are aware of the contents of the documentation. This is crucial for our laboratory as we need to know if staff are aware of the Health and Safety practices and policies within the laboratory.
