Straightforward, sole-trader start-up scenario!
Overall Satisfaction with Insightly
Insightly is the CRM within this Sole Practitioner business. Having been accustomed to using CRM's in previous corporate roles (Sugar CRM, SalesForce.com. ACT, etc) I needed a simple, reliable, cloud based system that enabled me to 1) capture all emails and notes against the prospect / opportunity / customer 2) be able to cross reference names and organisations, and 3) have all contact details at my fingertips on multiple devices. Insightly delivers this.
Pros
- Captures all emails by simple use of the bcc line (in Outlook). Ensures you are aways up to speed with the opportunity / project.
- Simple search via the links enables you to find that person who's name refuses to spring to mind.
- Again, simple task list and calendar to ensure no commitment to call / email / chase up is ever missed. Ensures you always do what you promised to do, and far more effective and easier to use than, say, an Outlook tasks list.
Cons
- Integration with Office 365 Outlook to save having to use the bcc line. (It may be there, I might have missed it...)
- Insightly enables me to stay close to all opportunities and ensure they are followed up as agreed with the prospect.

Listed CRMs were used in the role of an employee in a larger organisation. The requirement was for a simple, cost effective CRM that could be used with minimal IT infrastructure, particularly without a server. Insightly meets this need.
