Overall Satisfaction with Intacct
We use Intacct with our accounting specialist department to provide full cycle bookkeeping and virtual controller and CFO engagements.
Pros
- Customized reporting and format to make it meaningful to users. Some of our users may prefer more visual and graphical reporting, while others want to see the details behind the numbers. Using Intacct we can use the same information and produce reports, graphs, charts, etc. that are meaningful and relevant to the user in helping them interpret the information.
- Customization of user permissions - ability to truly customizer a users permission so they only see or do what is needed for their position. We are able to give owners the ability to see everything if necessary, while making access read only (they can still drill down to the details without fear of changing something). I believe we have over 4,000 permission settings when creating a user, so we are able to leverage the efficiency of the software and only allow viewing and actions to what is appropriate for each user or group.
- Anytime, anywhere access - we have clients that are rarely at the office and on the road a lot. It is great to be able to keep them up-to-date on where finances are and get approvals regardless of where they are. Just need internet access. We have worked with products that only work on PC's or MAC's, which created problems. Not with this program.
Cons
- It would be great to be able to archive old PDF attachments to save on data space. We have clients that we have large volume of transactions and attachments. The attachments is an awesome feature, as if you need to see what a transaction is related to you can easily click the attachment to see the invoice details. However, over time this can add up to a lot of space, especially if you used high quality scan settings.
- Many features don't allow changing of ID (for example, location, departments, account, etc.). I agree that there are often times that you don't want these changed as you don't want to change the historical accounting, however there are times it would be nice to fix an ID if it inadvertently got number incorrectly or client decides they need to make a modification later.
- Increased workflow efficiency.
- Increases ability to provide better customer service.
- Getting rid of Excel worksheets outside of accounting system for tracking and reporting.
- QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions,QuickBooks for Mac,QuickBooks Online,QuickBooks Premier,QuickBooks Pro,Sage Mas 90,Peachtree,Microsoft Office Accounting
Intacct is most robust and customizable, while maintaining ease of use and price competitiveness.
