Overall Satisfaction with Intacct

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP is a premier partner with Intacct and we try to use it with all the organizations that we can. It makes the jobs of our outsourcing staff and external accounting staff a breeze. I personally implement and use the application regularly and think it is a rather impressive product and in particular work with it with other third party applications such as Bill.com, which is a very good integration that we use with quite a few of our clients among other applications to handle all of their accounting needs.
  • Reporting
  • Centralization of Accounting Data
  • Rights and Permissions Customization and Roles
  • Working with third party applications (not just having them construct the sync but making it a priority to work with them and/or make the integration in house)
  • Support Channel and turn around on tickets unless escalated to higher people
  • Partner Managers (Sometimes come off really rude and abrasive)
  • Reduces the need for clerk entry roles
  • Allows the clients to see data in real time (depending on engagement terms)
  • Proves its worth over time without much need to explain it
  • QuickBooks Online,QuickBooks Premier,QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions,Bill.com
Bill.com crushes Intacct solo AP management, if it wasn't for Bill.com we wouldn't have been able to secure a lot of our clients. When we can’t pitch Intacct to clients because of pricing issues, we generally use QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop and they work pretty well until the client out grows them. Once they become multi-entity or multi-currency, QuickBooksOnline and QuickBooks Desktop really can't handle them any more and that is usually a perfect [reason] to switch to Intacct [and] it is no longer a pricing issue.
Other than the fact that some of the settings don't make sense and if you turn them on you are basically screwed it is a fairly simple product to integrate. If given the option, I would flag all of the settings that can potentially ruin an implementation with a password flag but that is just me, but for simple implementations it is a breeze.
When it comes to multi-entities and multicurrencies I can't think of a better product. However it is a bit too robust and pricey for smaller or organizations so I think there should be a simpler pricing structure and approach to them especially if they have the room to eventually expand and fully use the product.
