Overall Satisfaction with ion interactive

Ion interactive is being used by one department - the digital marketing department that handles all of our website content. The business problems it addresses are two-fold: 1. It helps us become much more data-driven on our webpages, 2. it helps our organization create much more robust, custom web campaigns and landing pages.
  • Gets very granular with data and what data points you want to track. This is nice when you have very specific questions about what works and what doesn't work.
  • The customizable elements are great. If you see something in their templates you don't like, it helps you get exactly what you want.
  • The support is amazing! Every time I had a question, support was always there.
  • The reporting layouts. I think for a seasoned ion user they're fine, but if I need to show this to a higher-level person, they're not the best and I'm usually using the charts, but labeling/creating my own dashboard/reports.
  • Would love to see a data/reporting training, I had to piece together the knowledge management and sections from other training sessions.
  • Jump links and linking to other pages - this is very clunky and relies on redirects.
  • I think we are still understanding the positive or negatives as this is a new tool. So far it seems positive.
If you are a marketing organization that is open to A/B testing, has multiple campaign pages - this is a great tool. I still need to test to see how framing the ion pages into my website works for the more content side of things over campaign side. I'd also say people who want to very granularly understand where their traffic is coming from will find this tool useful.
