Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Jabber

Jabber is used across the organization on both PC and mobility platforms. We use it for collaboration in chat and soft phone. There is a lot savings for our mobility users who travel internationally when they make calls over Jabber versus a cellular network.
  • My line of work involves working in teams and chat allows us to interact in real time regardless of geographical locations.
  • I like the ability to share your screen and give control of your desktop during presentations or on a one-on-one chat with a colleague.
  • I have the privilege of working from home on some occasions and Jabber allows me to chat and make calls as if I'm in the office. All I need is internet and a VPN connection.
  • Presence is another feature that I like as it lets me know if my colleague is available or not based on status updates. That way I know when to bother them :)
  • Too many updates within a very short period of time which makes it challenging to standardize across the organization.
  • I'm not sure if it is available but I would like to see persistent chat on Jabber without breaking the bank.
  • I can do with more chat fonts to spice it up. Good job on adding more emoticons :)
  • It has enhanced team work as people prefer chatting to email or calls.
  • Cost savings in phone bills by using soft phone (VoIP).
  • Cost savings in cellular bills.
  • It fits the term collaboration as it has many features in one.
Jabber has rescued me on many occasions when in a meeting and don't have an answer to a question by chatting with a colleague for answers.
