Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Jabber
Jabber is the communication lifeline for our company, where we operate in the cloud and have teams dispersed across the globe. It is less obtrusive than a phone call and 75% of the time you know your colleague is online and ready to respond to a quick question.
- Very easy to learn and use.
- Mobile app as powerful as desktop app
- Integrated with your calendar and WebEx so it updates your status when you are in a meeting or presenting and sets the status appropriately.
- Sometimes easier to get an employee's contact information that the company phone book.
- Minor, but it takes from 5 seconds to 45 seconds to login and go "online" on the desktop version. May be my laptop connecting to the wifi.
- Mobile app requires you to flip from the contacts screen to the message screen. You can't see both together.
- Cannot reconnect back into a group chat if you drop out.
- Makes me more productive
- Allows me to get answer for customer quicker and sooner
- Enables me to meet new people in my company and expand my network.
I find it purposefully built without all the extras. I've used Sync, Skype and Chatter. I like that it isn't as obtrusive as Sync, or as complicated and overbearing as Chatter. Great controls give the ability to invite others or know when others aren't available to communicate, such as when they are leading a presentation. I don't think many of the others have that.

Yes - It is an incredible easy and simple interface. Updates from the App Store are not more frequent than other apps. It is a great port to the smartphone and an essential tool in my arsenal.
