Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Jabber
Jabber is a good tool to have quick communications. It is a tool that is being used by our whole organisation (USA office and India office.) In our integration team, we get the quick notification through Jabber letting us know what is a priority, and which customer issues need to solutions ASAP.
- It always reaming in sync with your other software, like with mail and showing the availability of the person (are they available , away, or in meeting.) We can also customise the status features as per our needs.
- We can easily share images and external links with it, and we can also use the inbuilt emojis to show reactions. We can create a group and have one or many communications
- It has a great user friendly platform that makes it easy to use and requires a little training.
- We can use alert features to for people whom we need to contact, which will let us know when they are available. We can also check the other personal details like extension number, email ID, full name, etc.
- We cannot share images when we our in group chat. We also cannot save the images directly from chat, so we either need to save the chat or take a screenshot of the screenshot again
- Sometimes screen sharing does not work well. We might send the request to other person for screen sharing , and the other person will not get the request if he is away, and when he unlocks his system he will get the black screen in place of a screen sharing request.
- It's sometimes difficult to add new users, like when we need to add that in XML and do further steps.
- Its overall impact is, I think, positive: we have been using Jabber for the last 5 years and it seems to be ok, and we do not feel like changing.
- Jabber is worth the money. It will not disappoint, it is a very light tool and easy to install and integrate with other tools.
- It always remains in sync with the mobile app; that makes it the biggest positive.
