Overall Satisfaction with Jama Connect

We are doing the parent requirement cascade and traceability. Moreover, we are working on defining the means of compliance for safety-related requirements.

Pros

  • Tagging usernames using @
  • Icons are easy to understand
  • Requirements are easy to transform between text and requirement
  • Easy to navigate amoung different baselines and projects

Cons

  • In my experience, login takes longer, even when you are logged in it never saves - every time have to login again
  • Not intuitive to undo updates - wrongly update wording of a requirement for example
  • Not intuitive to recall the history of a specific requirement, all logins that updated and what this specific login has done

  • Engagement to people into the req. management culture
  • A more robust requirements management control
Certification of the aircraft into the aviation regulatory institutes. E.g: CAA, and EASA.
It is much more intuitive, and user-friendly than DOORS for example. It is better in terms of a learning curve for a junior engineer to engage in the requirements management word.
JAMA can navigate between them, as far as it generates reports accessible through MS Project, Word, and Excel. Moreover, very likely it can be embedded into Confluence as well however, we have not yet implemented this feature.
Yes - Dassault Systèmes 3DX.
It is well suited for startups, and companies doing for the first time a requirements management task.

It sounds like you've also enjoyed the tagging feature, that the UI icons are easily recognizable, that you've found it easy to convert requirement items, and that navigating baselines and projects has been straightforward. Regarding your feedback on areas to improve. We can look into the source of the login issues that you're experiencing to see what is contributing to this lag. To do so, please reach out to our Support team so we can look at this issue with you - support.jamasoftware.com Next - regarding your note about undoing an update in a requirement, have you tried the comparing versions of your item? This feature allows you to revert to a previous state of the requirement / item. I'm including a link here with more information: https://help.jamasoftware.com/ah/en/manage-content/item-versions/compare-versions.html - this would allow you to see all of the history for a specific item. Also - you can monitor the actions of users in your project via the Project Activity Stream - https://help.jamasoftware.com/ah/en/collaborating-with-your-team/stream---staying-connected/types-of-streams/project-activity-stream.html - this would allow to search for a specific actions and users.
