Overall Satisfaction with Jama Connect
My organisation uses Jama Connect for the purpose of requirements development and management. This scope is from the business level (in which we speak with business stakeholders) to the technical level (the implementation of the business stakeholder needs and desires). This allows for more targeted development of products in the context of the energy transition
Pros
- Audit log of alterations to requirements
- Traceability between requirements
- Flexability of the tool
Cons
- Multiple releases per requirement
- Activity Stream that is limited when people only have access to parts of the project
- Clear insight into requirements
- One source of truth-principle
- Controlled changes and alterations
A clear library of requirements for all coming projects to come, in the context of a rapidly changing organisation. We expected Jama Connect to provide the necessary capabilities to provide this future
Jama Connect provides seamless capabilities when it comes to collaboration, reviews and traceability compared to the previously used alternative of using Microsoft Excel for such purposes. Its completeness aids in the development of better products
Microsoft Excel provides only barebone capability when it comes to requirements development, since it is not primarily designed for that purpose. It is therefore not a serious contender to the capabilities of Jama Connect
