Overall Satisfaction with Jamf Pro

We utilize Jamf Pro to manage our fleet of Mac and iOS devices, which comprise at least half - 2/3 of the devices in our org. Prior to implementing Jamf Pro, there was a lot more manual setup and management of these devices. Since implementation we've saved countless hours of previously manually handled tasks.
  • Provisioning of new computers and devices - installation of basic settings and applications.
  • Enforcing restricted software policies, to keep the computers compliant and safe.
  • The remote lock and remote wipe is particularly useful for terminations and lost devices.
  • Integrated and unattended remote support has always been a pain point. Looking forward to when they will add this feature!
  • It would be nice to have some prebuilt workflows and scripts to easily select and use.
  • New device provisioning - support for Apple Business Manager
  • Remote wipe and remote lock
  • Restricted software policies
  • Software install policies, patch management
  • The savings of manual hours has been big - probably 5-10hr on a busy week.
We briefly looked at the Kandji MDM, and at the time found the product was not as mature and widely supported as Jamf Pro. This may change sometime in the future but for now Jamf is the king in the Apple MDM space. The community and training opportunities etc around Jamf Pro really make a big difference.

Do you think Jamf Pro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Jamf Pro's feature set?

Yes

Did Jamf Pro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Jamf Pro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Jamf Pro again?

Yes

Jamf Pro is well suited to manage iOS and MacOS devices for any medium to large sized organization. New device provisioning and management are its strong points. The product could be improved with better patch management and remote access features, but this is something I know Jamf has been working on implementing.
