Overall Satisfaction with Jira Software

We use Jira to plan our sprints and create sprintgoals. Its a great way to monitor our progress and keeping our teams up to date.

Pros

  • Linking user stories to Git merges
  • Lots of insight options
  • Multiple connections with 3rd party apps

Cons

  • Migrating sprints
  • auto saving stories when editing them, too often descriptions are lost because of not clicking on the save button manually
  • Planning sessions are way more efficient
  • Connecting Jira to 3rd party apps really helps with keeping everyone up 2 date.
It is great software, but there are some small improvements regarding user experience. Sometimes it can be frustrating to find the right features.

I really like the feature of combining git to Jira stories. It makes it easy for other team members to see if changes have already been merged/deployed. Its very insightful especially if you dont really remember if a piece of code has been released.
