Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We deployed Kentico to stand up our flagship website, asm.org. It is the hub where members consume content and complete conversions. We also built content models and had our developer customize the tool to fit our needs and be more flexible for our members. This will allow for multi-use of content and better staff management.

Pros and Cons

Pros

We were able to implement tags and categories in a very modern and flexible way.
Related content and aggregation is very easy and works well.
Fantastic WYSIWYG that even less tech-savvy staff can function well in.

Cons

Responsive image resizing is terrible. It crops funky and the images are all over the place.
Moving/reusing content in the tree is poor--you can only drag and drop from folders. When you have a long tree, this becomes clunky for users.
Staging environment can be confusing and often introduces errors to our prod.

It was much more fairly priced.

Likelihood to Recommend

Kentico is great for our smaller organization that has very nuanced needs, both in products and services and our members themselves. We find the content management is pretty straightforward and, outside of the clunky tree, is great for staff use.

Great WYSIWYG and Tagging
