Overall Satisfaction with Kibo Personalization, powered by Monetate & Certona
We use Kibo Personalization for Conversion Rate Optimization. Use the tool for testing and optimization across 10 of our websites. We also use it for quick changes to the front end of our site in areas not supported by quick WYSIWYG edits. We also attempted to use it for their Recommended Products tool.
- Helped us easily display low stock information or delays in shipping due to supply chain issues we've experienced due to covid.
- Assisted in getting Sales messaging up on our sites quickly and easily during a challenging covid 2020.
- 8% conversion bump for some experiments.
They are a little slow in getting back to us at times, but generally, we've had good experiences. Some specific team members on their support team are great and go above and beyond. Others are just OK, so when you find someone who's thoughtful in their replies, try sticking with that person.
I have had about four client success managers over the years. One was excellent and met with me regularly and tried to show us the impact of the tool on our business and brainstorm new ideas and ways to use Kibo Personalization. The other three have been fine with answering questions and sending us invoices, but not much else.
There's a learning curve, for sure, for setting up some experiences, but it's to be expected with all that you can do with it. The user interface is fairly intuitive, but some features get very complex, and you may need to find help in the Knowledge base or with customer support.

For testing scenarios, including conversion rate optimization, Kibo Personalization (we've used it as Monetate) does very well. The interface is fairly intuitive, and it is a very powerful tool, allowing us to make CSS changes easily without needing to do a whole code deployment with our development team. Product Recommendations was a long and painful project. We were promised it would work well with Magento and could display parent/configurable products instead of children/specific variant products. In my experience, they could never get it to work properly, and after many months of struggles with their team, they came back and told us it wasn't recommended that we use it for parent/configs—complete fail.
