Overall Satisfaction with Kibo Personalization, powered by Monetate & Certona

We use Kibo/Monetate here on a daily basis in order to deliver optimized journeys to all our users. Monetate feeds our core usability testing purposes, be AB testing or using AI to dynamically allocate users to winning variants. We also use Kibo product recommendations across the site which have been a massive contributor to our customer's engagement.

Monetate support is extremely helpful and usually solves our problems within an acceptable amount of time. Their customer support managers are often fairly easy to get a hold of and have no problem pointing us in the right direction. My only criticisms here are that their technical support is based in the US so getting development issues resolved can often be more time-consuming than it needs to be.
Our CSM and technical support are usually very good at responding to our queries and running us through how to set up tests we may be struggling to set up. As for strategic guidance, I feel that they could definitely do better - When we have quarterly business reviews they are really helpful and insightful sessions but I feel that there isn't enough of them.
Kibo/Monetate is a very easy tool to use, even if you do not have prior coding knowledge. If you have some development knowledge then this tool becomes extremely powerful. In order of ease of use, I feel it's really easy to pick up and start using but in order to set things up properly and in a manner that you are going to achieve exactly what you set out to do, it can take a bit of getting used to. Luckily they have an extensive knowledge base and courses you can take or assign to new users to keep up to speed.

In terms of multivariant testing, it is probably one of the most flexible and powerful tools I've used. It's really easy to quickly tweak and change site elements without the need for any coding knowledge. Should you have coding knowledge the tool is even more powerful. The only criticism would be allowing conditional logic in their recommendations engine, i.e. allowing certain logics to fire over others based on what the user is looking at/has carted.
