Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Compliance Plus
We use KnowBe4 for our security awareness training, phishing tests, and phishing alerts. The product excels in all of these areas. We haven't found another product that competes adequately. KnowBe4 also comes with training in other related areas, such as compliance and safe practices. The phishing alerts, combined with their PhishER and PhishFlip functionality allows us to purge unwanted emails quickly from all users' mailboxes. The phishing tests can be very tricky to catch, and help train our staff to stay safe with their email practices.
Pros
- Phish tests can be set to various difficulty levels as staff becomes more knowledgeable in catching phish emails.
- Automated phish tests and training save a lot of admin time. The product can also test for phone and USB stick practices.
- The phish alert button in Outlook, along with PhishER and PhishFlip allow easy managing and response to actual phishing emails.
- The interactive training is well designed to cover all types of phishing and safe email and phone behavior.
Cons
- Sometimes the admin interface can be a little confusing. If you begin to create a campaign but didn't create the groups you wanted to include first, you have to go back and create the groups first.
- A few aspects of the admin interface are a little confusing when trying to drill down to some details of a campaign or a user.
- It would be nice to have an alternate training course that presented the material a bit differently from the main training, for users who fail phishing tests multiple times.
- KnowBe4 has made security awareness training and testing successful and easy to manage with our small staff.
- The Phish Alert button has greatly reduced the manual process of responding to phish reporting.
- The PhishFlip feature has made it easy and fast to remove reported phishes from all email boxes.
KnowBe4 has helped with PII/HIPAA compliance as well as GDPR practices. While we aren't required to be HIPAA compliant, keeping to such compliances and practices keeps our customer data safer. As we move more into the international arena, we will continue to add more of the compliance training to our annual staff requirements.
The addition of the compliance training complements the security awareness training in the product. The ease of adding the compliance training through the same automated processes that we use for our security awareness training makes the administration and management of our training easy.
The compliance training appears to be broad and varied, though we haven't delved deeply enough into it to know how complete the content is.
None of the competing products had the ease of use and broad functionality of not only security awareness training, but also phish reporting and phish response. While some products had a different approach to training, none felt as complete as the features and functionality provided by KnowBe4. Our IT staff and users have been very satisfied with the product.
