Overall Satisfaction with Kronos Workforce Ready

The vendors were good with collaboration, they were always available and were responsive. But coming from the technical side, I felt that getting to the right technical resource to get the questions answered took a bit of time. But once you find them it's a breeze.
Kronos Workforce Ready is used by small groups of our employee population with mobile time and attendance needs who are not big enough for a Kronos Workforce Central implementation.

Pros

  • The mobile option to badge in and out is particularly useful for employees on the road.
  • Ease of configuration makes the implementation fast and simple - perfect for a fast paced environment.
  • REST based APIs for integration with easy template based configuration makes change management a breeze.

Cons

  • Time and attendance system needs profiles in pay, security, and leave areas to name a few. The configuration rules to map demographic data to these profiles is very cumbersome.
  • The REST based APIs while simple to use do not do the profile mapping while doing the imports.
  • Reduction in payroll errors
  • Traceability of pay and time data
  • Flexible for changes in rules
We currently use Kronos Workforce central for normal business and it's extremely bulky and takes a long time (6-9 months) to implement.

I would definitely suggest this for people who are on the road, who are looking for fast implementation with relatively simpler rules for smaller group of employees. I would not suggest for a medium to large population since I do not believe that the integration capabilities are mature enough for a large population.
