Overall Satisfaction with Laserfiche

I used to work for the Midwest Regional Headquarters for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Survey and Certification for Non-Long Term Care. Although I was not part of the decision-making process for ordering Laserfiche, I used the program on a daily basis to organize constituents (i.e., hospital facilities, clinics, surgery centers) and enroll them into CMS.

Pros

  • When dealing with multiple accounts (>1,000), Laserfiche offers a platform that you can customize to your project needs, making it easy organize files into one integrated system.
  • Offers a user friendly platform that you can customize to meet your organization's needs.

Cons

  • Honestly, we did not have any issues using Laserfiche.
  • Older systems had us using multiple programs for one account, which increased the chances of human error and files that did not link properly. This allows you to streamline your accounts and share the data across multiple account managers.
  • Once up and running the system was easy to learn in a day.
  • Archibus,SurveyMonkey,Blackboard
Unfortunately I was not part of the team that selected to use Laserfiche. I can only attest to it's easy of use once up and running.
Unfortunately, I no longer work at CMS and will not be part of decision-making processes.
It definitely met the needs of medical insurance and offers confidentiality to accounts. Compared to older systems, where you have to integrate multiple platforms, this allowed for all records to be integrated into one system and provided easy query options on the backend. Also, it was easy to learn how to navigate for organizations that need a program that need to be up and running in a short timeframe.
