Overall Satisfaction with Laserfiche
As a municipal law enforcement organization, we have found Laserfiche very useful both internally and in support of our outreach efforts with the public. Internally, we have developed forms that streamline repetitive reporting tasks while reducing the number of manual user inputs that are required. The forms are flexible to meet our needs, and we have developed a process that utilizes prefilling the most common and preferred responses on some forms so that users only have to make changes to the form where something out of the ordinary has occurred. When those responses are populated, the form can be set to open another dialog box to allow the user to elaborate on what happened. Once a form is complete, the submit button sends a PDF image to the selected addresses. Simple and reliable. For our public users, we are able to post the link to a Laserfiche form which allows the citizen to submit information or queries simply without having to print a form, scan, or mail a form in multiple steps. The simple interface greatly increases the instances of form submission. Overall, we are very happy and continuing to find new ways to leverage the product.

- Would like Laserfiche to be able to send forms to an internal share drive folders on our network.
- Would like the report output to be in a format that can be amended without requiring additional software.
- Would like submitters to be able to add their email address to the routing of a form prior to submitting.

- Ability to send to multiple email addresses with the click of one submit button
- Ease of use for the members submitting the form to create a clear and accurate record.
- Has allowed us to move some legacy paper reporting to an automated process to create direct digital records without the need to scan or manually input data.

Laserfiche is a much more focused product that simply and accurately fills our need for routine reporting and record keeping. By taking time to work on the design of the form you can anticipate the user's needs and possible areas where further explanation may be required. By prefilling the most likely/desired report responses you can greatly reduce the amount of time a user spends completing each report.
