Overall Satisfaction with Linode

We utilize Linode's services to host multiple production and development level projects. These projects are used company wide. We host a corporate intranet resource and various custom portals for gathering and displaying information to our remote staff. We host multiple websites that run on the Laravel framework platform hosted by Apache and backed by MySQL databases.

For us, Linode is a level above the competition. We have tried other hosting providers and found their control panels confusing, customization options lacking, and price points far higher. The ease of use alone is a huge selling point. You can login and have a new server up and running, customized to your needs in minutes. DigitalOcean comes close with a similar offering, but I found their backend panel far less intuitive and support was not quick to help. We've migrated all of our resources from alternate hosts and utilize Linode as our primary hosting provider.
The Linode support team has been amazing from start to finish. In our over 5 years working with them, I've only had to reach out to create a handful of tickets for simple issues. On average I've submitted less than one ticket per year as the service is just that reliable! In the rare occasion I did have to interact with support, they were friendly and helpful and solved my problem immediately.
Linode provides exceptional value and quality products. I am thankful they offer their services at such an affordable rate. It made selling the switch to their services so much easier with our corporation.
Linode's uptime has been near perfect since we switched to them over 5 years ago. The hardware maintenance windows are brief and we are alerted in advance. The option is often even provided to migrate our files manually, allowing me to move the maintenance period to an off-peak time when our company is not using these products. This leads to zero interruption for our production level pages for both staff and customers.
Linode has been an amazing host for us for many years. We had tried other affordable hosting options in the past, but nothing came close to offering the service or reliability of Linode at this price point. If you need a project hosted securely and reliably, look no further. The ability to spin up new servers in minutes makes development easy and reduces overhead costs. Their generous bandwidth and hardware allowances mean you can host production level services with heavy traffic far cheaper than alternative options.
