Overall Satisfaction with Litmos

We use Litmos as our LMS. All of our internal learnings are uploaded, stored, and taken by learners. It is also used to track compliance and learner progress. This makes it easier to roll out new learning content and track who has taken it. It also helps with engagement with the gamification features. We use it internally currently and plan to expand to client users soon. It helps us keep track of who is learning what, what they may be struggling to comprehend, and embrace a culture of learning.
The gamification and customization features have been a game changer in being able to enhance engagement.
We love being able to create a virtual learning environment that is super fun, competitive and promotes our values. This helps us engage our team in learning and getting them to provide us feedback about what is working for them. Litmos gives us all the resources needed to make it work for us and the dojo has been helpful in keeping up with everything and being efficient in how we do it. The reports have helped give us data to use to show the team how valuable what we are doing is.

Pros

  • User Friendly - it easy to use as the account owner and the learner.
  • Litmos Dojo - the trainings in there are very helpful.
  • Customizable - you can add your own features/logo/etc.

Cons

  • Course Creation Tool - it isn't up to par with other course creation tools.

Litmos gave us more customization for what we needed and let us transform how we do learning. If we had chosen a different platform, our learning engagement would have tanked instead of grown like it has. Litmos gives us the ability and versatility to make our learning environment fun. We can upload a lot of different file formats which is helpful too.

It is user friendly and easy to use. The dojo courses answered any questions I had that I couldn't find answers to on my own. I am impressed at how easy it is for me to pull reports, check statuses of learners progress, etc. It's also easy for our learners to use which is a huge plus.
Our learners enjoy having the option to learn online and at their own pace. While this was a change and a big adjustment, we found that during the implementation we are able to engage in a fun way. Litmos allowed us to create a fun learning environment that is engaging. Our learners like logging in to see the leaderboard.
Litmos is a great option for any company that needs an LMS. It is easy to set up and use. It is also customizable which is a great feature and makes it more personable for your company. The gamification features are fun to use to engage learners. There are many integrations/features available to make it suit your needs.

Litmos Experience

Assuming that you are referring to the Litmos Live sessions/Litmos Labs, I love those. I think they are helpful and well done. I like that users can ask questions too. It's nice to see a community of L&Ders connect but also learn more efficient ways to use the system or how it benefits L&D.
It didn't take long for us to see the value in Litmos once it was being utilized correctly. Not that they weren't using it correctly, just not to it's full potential when I inherited it. I would say that within a few weeks we saw the value when our team showed real engagement.
I have asked for support and it took them a few tries to answer my question. I needed help with a technical use of Litmos that I wasn't familiar with and didn't want to waste my time doing it one by one if I didn't have to. They were very helpful but the help wasn't immediate.
I like the weekly(ish) emails that give me the rundown instead of receiving a billion emails. I think that innovation is always a good thing and I like seeing Litmos stretching themselves to create an even better user experience. I can't think of a specific new release that has stood out at this time but I will say, everything has been positive.
Our completion rate went from about 30-40% on average to 80% minimum per course. We went from powerpoints to online courses that are engaging. That's made all the difference. I would say the leaderboard and points is very motivating for our team. They all want to be #1. It's made learning engaging.

Using Litmos

I am L&D and the other is IT/Operations.
2 - IT/Operations is able to help with most tech issues which is really nice. I am the other person that trouble shoots learners, pulls reports, and uploads materials.

I wasn't included in this process. But I would've asked for tech support for customization in the very beginning.

It's just right but sometimes it can be complex when I want to do customization.
Yes - we have customized the interface extensively - We wanted to engage our learners more and make it immersive. It was mostly easy.

We did not. I am not sure why but I assume cost and at the time it was primarily used for storage.
When I first took over the account for us, our rep at the time was very kind in walking me through the basics and doing his best to answer any questions I had. He's no longer with Litmos but everyone has been just as kind.
