Overall Satisfaction with Marin Software

Marin is being used across one client to manager their search needs. We use different tools to manage Social and a different tool for another client. It allows us to manage large amounts of keywords & creative in a proficient time frame. It also allows us to create bid rules & their reporting functionality is easily manipulated to fit our needs.

  • There are often glitches in the system- some can be small or others require a lag time to be fixed
  • Delay in supporting new features as rolled out by Google/Yahoo/Bing
  • Increased Employee Efficiency
  • Faster implementation of campaigns
  • Lower CPCs
  • Higher CTRs
Marin wasn't as flashy as some of the other tools we evaluated; however, it provided the fundamental tools we needed to do our job effectively & efficiently. Their reporting functionality works, but isn't as "bells & whistley" as the others; however, we've seen errors when pulling the 'flashier' reports from competitiors.
Marin continues to grow and put themselves at the front of bid/budget management systems. While there is room for growth, they have demonstrated their commitment to their product and to their clients. The system continues to improve as the platforms (Google/Yahoo/Bing) release new capabilities.
I don't think their support of Tiers (as applicable to auto OEMs) is clear. I would suggest the below questions:

1) How do you support Tiered models (i.e. ensure Tier II doesn't bid up Tier I)

2) What tactics/strategies do you use to ensure your tool is staying abreast of changes as they are rolled out by Google/Yahoo
