Overall Satisfaction with Memsource

We use Memsource for 2 main functions. The system lets us manage our translation memories from old projects and also help us create new translations for the Portuguese language that will be used in eLearning products worldwide.
  • Manage Translation Memories
  • Integrate with Translation Machines
  • Suggest partially translations for the TM
  • The price option for small translation teams for 2 or 3 translators could be a separate plan
  • I think it does not handle well tags in the translations
  • It could have a filter to remove tags for making it easy to translate
  • TM management
  • MT integration with google
  • Easy to use interface
  • We can finish translations much faster using memsource
  • It used to be free to use and it was a great option
  • Now they are using a monthly payment plan and I think they should have a year plan as well
They are systems for translations and Memsource is much easier to use and has a much better TM and MT integration that there is no real comparison and Memsource wins all the time.

We love Memsource to translate PDF manuals. It makes it so easy to do so using its integration with a pdf translation site and it works very well. For translating some eLearning products mainly webpage generated eLearning something the client sends the text and does not filter the web tags and Memsource could have a function to filter the tags for the real translation for example.
