Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Exchange

Microsoft Exchange is our primary platform for communications (email) and scheduling (calendar). It is deployed for all staff, so we also take advantage of distribution groups. It also functions as the primary tool for parents to contact teachers and administrators. We operate in a hybrid mode, so we use O365 in tandem with an on prem server. The primary access is via Outlook or the web.
  • Email
  • Scheduling
  • Distribution lists
  • Better list management
  • Admin console is still a little clunky
  • Better search engine for finding emails
  • Improves communication
  • Eases scheduling
  • Eases collaboration
Microsoft is simply the best. We tried Gmail for about three weeks - we ran parallel. It was horrible. Not that Gmail is bad, it is just that Microsoft is a very mature product, and has all the features you need. Gmail may be there someday, but I doubt it. They dont think the same way.

Do you think Microsoft Exchange delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Exchange's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Exchange live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Microsoft Exchange go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Exchange again?

Yes

All in all, still the best system for businesses. Gmail doesn't come close in terms of features and ability to customize. As for calendars and distribution groups, and integration with Teams and the other O365 products, there simply isnt anything that comes close. I highly recommend this as a business platform, regardless of company size.
