Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Visio

We use it for modeling in particular cases: organizational structure, business procedures, information and IT infrastructure models. Also, we often use this software product to create layouts of software interfaces for in-house development of corporate tools. We actively use the tools of collective development and review of models.
  • Modeling of the organizational structure
  • Modeling of the business-processes
  • IT-infrastructure modeling
  • UI-wireframe modeling
  • Collaboration in business-modeling
  • Enterprise Architecture linking
  • EA-standards support
  • Visual modeling
  • Support for a wide range of modeling notations
  • Collaboration & revision tools in visual modeling
Visio has a larger number of templates. More versatile. There are many ready-made elements. More reliable. It is better integrated with other software products, both from the Microsoft ecosystem and with other ecosystems. More convenient to learn. There are much more possibilities for exporting and importing into various standard data formats.

Do you think Microsoft Visio delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Visio's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Visio live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Microsoft Visio go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Visio again?

Yes

The most convenient is the use of the Microsoft Visio software product in the case of creating private models in various notations and modeling areas through a wide variety of application cases. I would not use this product to create a common enterprise architecture that is maintained on an ongoing basis.
