Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Product planning, brainstorming, and good for large meetings to get lots of people involved and understanding for the beginning of a project. I don't know if it is used across the entire organization, but my team uses it. It is helpful for visual understanding of timelines for product delivery. Also used as an ice breaker with the tools of clicking or dots.
  • Allows for users to interact virtually.
  • Quick and easy changes - not difficult at all to change things around or change up the flows.
  • With no definitive size, it's nice to be able to keep brainstorming in a visual matter that makes sense versus only being able to design left to right or up to down.
  • When we have lots of people on a call, it is hard to see who added different information.
  • When I add new content or comment and it changes the color it makes two sections that should look the same look different and causes confusion.
  • Automatic zoom/sizing would be nice.
  • Quicker reviews of designs to get to the development stage faster. Rather than having a concrete design that can't be altered, if we use Miro we can add sections or notes on the fly to remember what we talked about.
  • COVID caused all employees to be virtual so we couldn't do any product planning together and that could have slowed our development down but with Miro, it didn't.
  • It has improved our team's dynamics with abilities to interact and do fun activities together.
I don't really have any insights - I don't know that I used the tool at the implementation of it.
Miro is straightforward with a lot of their functionality - you don't have to search through lots of tabs to get the different options; you can do it all and see it all sitting in front of you. The hardest part to get would likely be how much info there may be or where to start when looking at a new board, as there isn't a clear "starting" point in most Miro docs.
As stated before - with COVID sending our entire workforce home, in addition to the fact that we have team members all across the country, Miro is a great replacement for any in-person whiteboarding, sticky notes, etc. that you cannot do virtually.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Well suited:
-Visual planning when users cannot be in person to use sticky notes or whiteboards.
-Ice breaker or team building events.
Less appropriate:
-Detailed product planning with information on each item and details.
-Trying to present information, some people have it too zoomed out or in, and it's hard to see from the participant section.
