Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it heavily in our department and also use it across the business. We use it for collaborative workshops, design thinking, mind mapping, program design, retros, and metrics reporting. The business problem it solves for us is one of collaboration, and for me personally, it's a way to visually display our metrics easily for others to view at any time.

Pros

  • The templates it provides.
  • Design features.
  • Collaboration.

Cons

  • I find using frames a little fiddly.
  • The arrows that pop up automatically can be annoying.
  • Locking things down is troublesome.
  • People who come into a workshop who haven't used it before are always problematic.
  • Certainly helped us as a team and business to be able to collaborate remotely during lockdowns.
  • Feel connected to the team even while virtually.
  • Allowed us to collaborate with teams in other countries.
The short course videos Miro provides are very helpful and I would recommend taking the time to watch them as there are a lot of tips and tricks in there and I learned many ways I could use Miro.
Very easy to install and get up and running. We did have some issues with the sharing functionality and allowing people into boards and the associated permissions. This could be clearer around this process and the impact it has on your team boards.
We have been able to continue working and running workshops within our organization which has many locations in different countries. So it's been a great tool to use especially in this Covid time. It has allowed us to continue our BAU with ease.
