Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Like many companies, we transitioned to fully working from home at the start of the pandemic. By using Miro during meetings, we've significantly increased our ability to collaborate with each other, making meetings more productive and enjoyable. We use it to gather feedback, brainstorm, and plan out our future activities - and unlike using post-it notes on a whiteboard, the Miro ones don't blow away!
  • Support collaboration.
  • Provide downloads of the output.
  • Allow team members to brainstorm without interrupting each other.
  • The font size can be fiddly.
  • It would be nice to be able to lock boards at certain times.
  • The logon journey could be smoother.
  • Reduced workshop time.
  • Increased reach, allowing the quieter members to collaborate.
  • Allowed us to draw whilst being geographically very distant.
We used Miro based in the Cloud, so no installation was necessary and new members could join and start working with us quickly. With it being cloud-based, we're also able to collaborate with people outside our organization - which makes a significant difference to us. Creating new boards is very easy, the hardest decision is choosing which one to use!
Miro exports your boards quickly and easily, allowing you to then copy/paste or insert them into other documents or presentations. Providing people with a link to the board is simple, and integration with Active Directory has really sped up our use of the system. The other advantage is that we can continue the Zoom meeting whilst using Miro and no one has to log out and join.
We run global projects regularly, in fact, my team span 10 different time zones and 4 continents. By using Miro, we eliminate that distance and are able to work as we would in a single room. Just being able to see people's ideas be written down in real-time makes a massive difference. It also helps us work with people who don't have the same native languages, as they can translate (using other apps) in real-time too.

Miro is well suited for getting teams to work together. They provide a large number of templates available to support collaboration and the elicitation of ideas. The templates also provide a great structure for your meetings to follow, which can really help when faced with a quiet group. When driving out requirements, Miro is the best tool we have found for allowing larger groups to collaborate without the issue of interrupting/talking over each other in Zoom.
