Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro as a global collaboration platform. We work across many different time zones, and it is helpful to use Miro when we have a global project that requires brainstorming what we know and what we need to find out. We also use Miro for product mapping exercises where we need to visually display food products on a 2-axis plane as we taste them.

Pros

  • Brainstorming what we know and don't know on a particular topic/category.
  • Sorting ideas in debriefing sessions after trade shows.
  • Mapping products on axes that signify their character.

Cons

  • The zoom can be confusing at times because it is easy to zoom out too far or zoom in too far and be constrained when adding objects.
  • Training on how to encourage my team to use the platform more often.
  • More flexibility in the mind map widget. Some of the paths auto-adjust when I want them to stay in place.
  • Gave me autonomy to take the lead on more projects.
  • Shown my team members that I am organized.
  • It gave me a space to share my work with many team members in a quick and easily editable format.
It was difficult to integrate Miro with Microsoft teams because everyone on the call needed access to the board (we keep our boards private and unsharable for confidentiality reasons.
It has given us an easy way to collaborate across time zones without the need to host meetings during non-business hours.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I love using Miro to support my studies and collaborate more effectively in my team, but I find it hard to encourage other people on my team to take the initiative and use Miro to aid their collaboration efforts across our global team. There might be too big of a learning curve to convince others to change the way they do things and adopt yet another new tool.
