Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro to lay out the discovery of the project that I have been assigned. We use UX brief to go through the project with PMs to understand the project well. I also use it to put out competitive analysis listing and flows to map out out the journey using Miro. I find Miro very useful in sharing out the findings with the other stakeholders in the work stream.

Pros

  • Templates for competitive Analysis, User flows, etc.
  • Sticky notes to map out the findings for each of the use cases
  • Share the findings with the team

Cons

  • Sharing functionality with people who do not have Miro especially PMs not used to it
  • Export functionality could be improved
  • Allow to upload video as well so that would be helpful
  • improved productivity

I love the whiteboard Miro provides as we can see in run time what suggestions does other team members have and it is a great way to brainstorm your ideas on the screen like a blank canvas and a team bonding activity for the team.

I usually use Figma for design purposes but I prefer whiteboard of Miro than Fig jam.
It is well suited to use the templates to create flows, affinity mapping when having limited time and I love how it has portion for us to learn about it and a portion to use it as a blank to start creating using the provided reference. I wanted to upload a video or gif which wasn't able to do so with Miro so I posted the link instead so I feel Miro should have a provision to upload video url as well.
